As per the information provided by the NTA, there is no age limit for the students for appearing in the JEE Main exam. Candidates should be citizens of India. Foreign national candidates as well as NRIs, PIOs, OCIs can also apply. The candidates can make three consecutive attempts for JEE Main and two consecutive attempts for JEE Advanced. Since the exam is conducted 4 times a year, a candidate can attempt 12 exams.
Those candidates belonging to the general category must have scored a minimum of 75% marks in their 12th-grade board exams for appearing in the JEE exam. For students who belong to the reserved category, a minimum of 65% marks is enough for getting admissions in different undergraduate courses offered at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other prestigious engineering colleges.
JEE Advanced Eligibility
The top 2.5 lakh students of the JEE Main are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced eligibility criteria will help candidates to have an idea about the minimum requirements that they need to fulfil in order to appear for the exam.
